We also sell tracking and hanging systems which are a great way to showcase works in interiors.
A tracking system involves steel tracking, stainless steel cords and hangers which come in silver and white.
The picture rail hanging system involves picture rail hooks, cords and hangers which come in gold and silver.
Hanging systems are popular because multiple pictures can be hung and changed without making holes in the wall.
One of the main processes in framing involves surrounding the artwork with a mat. They add interest and keep the picture away from the glass. We have a large range of matboard, including quality rag mats. All our materials are conservational and come in many colours and textures.
We have a computerised precision mat-cutter on-site which can cut you a mat to almost any size and shape. Multiple mats, ovals, bevels, embossing, lettering, fancy edges etc are not a problem.
Most works benefit from the protection that glass and laminate provide. We use 3 types of glass at James Custom Framing: Standard clear glass, Diffused glass and premium Conservational glass.
We also have a product called a Heat Seal. This is a type of Lamination which forms a protective layer over the picture. They are easy to clean, light, safer than glass and cost effective.
